How do I feed multiple cats and stop one from eating others' food?
This can be a challenging situation, especially if you have one cat that's more of an "eater" than the others. I would try to offer canned food for one meal, and dry for another. For the canned meal, you can put it out into separate bowls, ensure that everyone has their own bowl, and monitor the situation until they finish. Most cats will go ahead and finish a portion of canned food, unlike dry, which they will often "snack" on. You can also reinforce the "ownership" of each cat's bowl by calling them, and then feeding that cat only in that bowl (and consequentially, in that space) at all times. That way, you're teaching them that they will get fed at "their" bowl at all times. Interlopers onto other bowls should be discouraged and redirected back to their own bowl. Finally, if you're up for spending some money, there is an [automatic feeder](https://www.surepetcare.com/en-us/pet-feeder/microchip-pet-feeder) that opens only for a signal from your pet's microchip. This can become really important if one pet is on a special diet for health reasons - it only opens when the cat that has the specific microchip approaches. This is the best way to ensure that the right cat gets the right food.

Wet or dry food for dogs and cats? Are spaniel bowls good for long ears?
You are very welcome. In dogs we don't see this issue so much with water intake. Cats are usually always problematic to get adequate water into their system. Therefore your dog can have either wet or dry based on preference of the pet and yourself. I feel that giving half dry and half wet to cats is certainly better than no wet at all. Plus I can certainly understand that this may be more a cost effective way to care for your pet. If you also implement the placement of water fountains in your home, then this has shown to encourage cats to drink more because it is considered a fresher water source. I honestly have never heard of the special bowls made just for spaniels. That is a great idea and as long as your pets drink from it, then I say mission accomplished! It is, after all, still just a water fountain. I can certainly understand not wanting to continue to use a fountain which gets a daily dip from your pets ears. This certainly isn't the most sanitary way to get your daily water intake. : )

How to create a budget-friendly cat room setup for cats and a dog?
Hi, in terms of cat furniture don’t worry cats don’t need anything particularly fancy. They enjoy sitting on a shelf as in the picture and look outside the window. You would add some cardboard boxes that can also work as cratching posts and a couple of pillow on the bookshelf. I think the feeding area would better be moved, because being right in front of the windows is exposed, they can see/be seen and could spot something that might upset them. It is also advisable to keep feeding areas away from their litter tray and perhaps moving it would help increasing this distance. Are there only two cats in the room ? If so also consider the number of litter trays. I mo not sure how many you have at present, and if things work out well I probably would suggest not to change them. You can find lots of ideas in building/creating cat furniture from ikea furniture if you fancy a change in the future. My dog and cat share food and water bowls. Is this safe or harmful?
Hello, that is very cute. The only harm may be is that one of them may become overweight. You should still feed your kitty cat food and your pup, dog food. It would be best if they ate separate to control their weights and portions. This can be achieved by feeding them in different rooms. Sharing their water bowl is fine.
