Are Tri-Heart Plus & Simparica good, affordable heartworm & flea meds?
Hello. This is fine to use. I would not recommend giving both of these on the same day. Give one on the first of the month & the second on the 15th so there are no drug interactions. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Which heartworm medicine is best: Heartgard or Tri-Heart? CBD for dogs?
Your dog is so handsome! Both Heartgard Plus and Tri-Heart Plus protect against heart worms, but I personally like Heartgard Plus best. As of yet, we have very little research on CBD oil in veterinary patients, so we cannot make any recommendations one way or the other about this product - we do not know what an appropriate dose might be, and if there are any potential health concerns or drug interactions in dogs. In addition, because it's a schedule 1 drug, it's illegal for us to prescribe or recommend. I hope this helps!

How to buy Interceptor Plus for multiple dogs without a vet visit?
If you have proof that the dogs have a current negative heartworm test (current means a test within the last year) then you can get the product at any one of our VETCO vaccination clinics. If you do not have proof of a negative heartworm test, you can get the test done at the clinic and then you can buy the Interceptor (or any type of heartworm prevention). Choosing flea, tick, heartworm meds: Revolution, Advantix, Heartgard?
Congratulations on your new dog! I like Revolution if you are looking for a topical product. It consistently works well and is well tolerated. If you like the idea of an oral product better, I like Trifexis (it’s another all in one product). Sometimes though the pets can smell the Trifexis and they won’t eat it. In that instance, I like Simparica and Interceptor. My personal preference is oral products. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

What are good Heartguard alternatives for my dog's heartworm?
Fortunately, there are a number of heartworm preventatives similar to Heartgard, including TriHeart Plus and Iverhart. Other options for heartworm prevention have different active ingredients and include Trifexis, Interceptor, Sentinel, Revolution, and Advantage Multi. Simba's vet will be able to prescribe another option and make sure that Simba has had a recent heartworm test.
