I would stick with just the proviable paste. For simple diarrhea, it usually works within 1 or 2 doses. If you combine it with pumpkin you may cause constipation. Once the diarrhea is improved you could add a little bit of oumpkin instrad of the Proviable.

Pumpkin is good because it adds fiber to the diet leading to regular defecation, and when a dog has regular stools, that helps express the anal sacs. In fact, pumpkin is recommended to give to dogs when they are constipated. For her digestive health and anal sacs, pumpkin would be the best to give her, but as a treat, you can switch out to another tablespoon of veggies every now and then :-)

This answer partially depends on what the problem is. However, the most common thing we will recommend for GI health is probiotics (often in conjunction with pre-biotics). Probiotics are the good bacteria in the GI tract that help it stay healthy. There are a number of products on the market. Some are more complete than others. One good product is called Entero TruBenefits. You can find that here. http://www.vrshealth.com/canine-products/?petcoach=1977957 Nutramax makes a good formula called ProViable. And VetriScience makes a nice probiotic formula that is comes in a chewable tablet. I hope that was helpful and answered your question. Thanks for using PetCoach.

I would continue with the probiotics. They won't hurt anything and they may help. I also suggest you feed some canned pumpkin for the increased fiber. This may help "push" anymore wicker pieces out. You can give 1/4 cup of pumpkin twice a day. Pure pumpkin, not pie filling. Hope this helps.

Yes, all of these things are generally safe for dogs and can be helpful for the specific issues that you mentioned. As long as she has fresh water available to her at all times, she will drink when she's thirsty - you shouldn't need to worry about making her drink more, as she will regulate this herself. There are no particular health benefits to dogs for drinking more water than they want to each day, so as long as she's healthy and acting normal otherwise, this shouldn't be a concern :)
