Getting a new puppy? What should I do to prepare for their arrival?
Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! What an exciting time. You would need to start by getting a high quality diet (I like the Purina Pro Plan diets though there are plenty to choose from). Also, a dog bed and toys will be important as well. I recommend that you check with your veterinarian to get him in for initiation of vaccines and to start other preventative care medications such as flea and tick preventatives and heartworm preventatives. You will need to check that your local Petco has a Vetco clinic branch as well, they will have a look at the vaccines she already got and will let you know which ones need to be done next. regarding food i recommend one of the following: Orijen, Acana, Evovle or Taste of the wild.

What are the best dog and puppy food and treat brands to buy?
Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center! I personally like the Purina Pro Plan diets as well as the Hill's Science Diet foods as I think they are both palatable and highly nutritious. In terms of treats, I think the milk bones products are both nutritious, palatable and reasonably priced. Good luck and best wishes!
