Why can't I find Hill's Science Diet 7+ Turkey & Barley at Petco?
If you contact your local Petco they can special order this food for you. I'm sure you can tell by going to any large pet store, that there are hundreds of pet foods and each pet food has many varieties. There is no way Petco can carry every possible food available. They have to carry what are the best sellers. Like I said, your local store can special order the food for you. Hope this clarifies. Best wishes.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! What an exciting time. You would need to start by getting a high quality diet (I like the Purina Pro Plan diets though there are plenty to choose from). Also, a dog bed and toys will be important as well. I recommend that you check with your veterinarian to get him in for initiation of vaccines and to start other preventative care medications such as flea and tick preventatives and heartworm preventatives. Picky dog won't eat new food, can't find old. What should I do?
I would recommend trying to order a food off online. There are a lot of companies that will ship you dog food. Even if you cannot find his original brand you can another dry food he might like better than the store brand from the store near by. You can try to buy some canned food too. This might encourage him to eat his new food better. If you absolutely have to you can add a little boiled chicken to motivate him to eat his new food
