The bag is great BUT it is closed by velcro. My dog escaped as soon as he heard my father's voice and wanted to play with him.

Best carrier for large cats
Very impressed with the sturdiness of this carrier. We have a 20 lb Maine Coon and thus carrier supports his weight and size. Most importantly, the top opening is huge - makes it easy for our veteranarian to pull our reluctant big boy out of the carrier. So very pleased!

Soft, sturdy, exactly what I was looking for.
I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdiness of these carriers. Despite being soft and collapsable, when the carrier is expanded, it is sturdy to the point that my cat can sit on it without it collapsing. In addition, the bed inside is soft. The shoulder strap makes it easy to carry, which is great because I'm using two of these!

I have 6 yr Lhasa Also breed dog with 13 lbs weight. Should I go for medium size bag or large size?
- Hi. I have this carrier and I believe I got the medium one , which was good for my 10lb cat, but a tight squeeze for my 15lb cat,. I bought another larger one for the heavier cat. I would ask the store about their return/exchange policy before purchasing. I can tell you the bag is great! I've always purchased the Sherpa ones. It is not cheaply made, it's very sturdy. I never worried about the straps breaking or anything and there are spaces to store a little food or treats on the bag as well. Hope this helps!

Two questions- it says there are locking zippers… please explain how they work. I don’t see any difference in these zippers. Next there is a ring inside the carrier. I thought maybe it is for hooking to the dogs collar but how would that work?
We have an older Sherpa Carrier that needs to be replaced. My (13+ lb.) cat really likes to lie on top of it, and I'm concerned if he tries to settle on top of this new carrier it will fold up under his weight. Can you advise?
Would this work for a 22 lb medium Jack tussle mix on a motorcycle?
- No, I would get something a bit larger and sturdier. I bought this for my cat and he has almost outgrown it.

- If she is small yes. I would say that the limit would be about 15-18 pounds, unless small and compact.

I know the medium says up to 16lbs. My Yorkie is 14lbs so should I get a large so she has more room? I read the small and medium are guaranteed on the plane but what about the large?
- A large is pushing it. A lot depends on how nice the flight crews are as well as the dimensions of the seats on the aircraft you are flying. Under seat dimensions vary greatly, so you should check for your flights/aircraft. That said, small and medium are usually no problem. To make a large work for my 20 lb Manchester, I remove the two top support bars. This is easily done. You can find them in slots and just slip them out. That allows you to scrunch the carrier as needed. Don't worry about extra room. Your Yorkie will be fine. Make sure to seek out pet relief areas before boarding and after arrival. Good luck.

Is there any support for the top in the center. The one I have now, has wire support on each end,, but when I sit the carrier down the middle sags and impedes on my cats space.
- No support unfortunately my rabbit makes it sag too
