Should we be concerned about bacteria with this frozen raw cat food? How do you ensure this? Thank you~
- Yes! I was feeding this to my cats, one day one of them didn't finish all her food so I put it in the fridge and fed it to her later. She got diarrhea and I had to take her to the vet, get a stool test done and give her expensive probiotics. $300 later I'd say this food is not worth the risk!

How long can unopened bags be stored in a standard kitchen freezer without the cat food getting freezer burned?

How many cups are in a bag?
- I feed my 10 pound cat 3/4 cups per day, split into 2 servings. One bag (1.25 lb.) last about 7 days. So I estimate that each bag contains about 5.25 cups of frozen cat kibble.

Why does this contain apples, carrots and sweet potatoes? Cats can't really get the nutritional value out of vegetables.

Just the same, wild cats have been documented to eat grasses and berries, so this is also normal behavior for wild cats. It is thought to be a self-medicating behavior to help expel parasites or keep the gastrointestinal tract healthy, but we also believe that cats can benefit from the healthful compounds contained in fruits and veggies.
