I need a travel cage for 1 ferret that can go in my trunk or back seat. She’s sneaky and created a hole on her portable mesh cage. It’s not intended for a home, mostly for 3-5 hours drive several times a year. Will this work?
- What size is your ferret? About the size of a guinea pig? Make sure the front sliding door is closed, maybe use a zip tie for security in the car. I have two guinea pigs in my cage. On occasion, they try to escape when giving them fresh veggies! Bars of cage are one inch apart. Open and airy, good air flow. Good Luck! Janet. Don't place in trunk!! Put in back seat.

Was planning on using this cage when I travel on some weekends for my chinchilla to take him with me. How easy is it to ensemble and disassemble for travel and storage?
- Depends on how skilled you are! If you have room in your vehicle to keep it set up, I would do that. Lots of pieces. First time through, easy to mix up pieces. Company has a toll free number for assembly assistance. Or, you could be the type that assembles items quickly, and set up/take down could be easy for you! Well made, plenty of room, open design so animal is visible from all sides, allows for good ventilation. I own two of these cages. Good Luck! Janet Triska

What type of plastic is this made of?
- It's made of a wire covered with plastic. The problem that I now have is that my rabbit has chewed off the plastic in a number of places.

- Yes, but go for the XL! Chinchillas are very energetic little puffs!
