i bought this a little under a month ago and it worked great. today i came home and it was flashing every 2 seconds due to what i assume is a LED driver issue or a capacitor. it never got any water damage and the power supply is in good condition too.

Great light for my 5 gallon planted tank. This light has grown 4 different type of low light plants for two years now. Has a lot of hours on it and it is built very well.

I bought this less than a year ago. It was working pretty well, and then it stopped working randomly this morning. :(

I was really surprised with this light.within 3 days my plants have come alive

Noise on 10 gal planted freshwater. Clips on and off easily, adjusts well, can be directed over wide range. Bright enough to penetrate. I plugged into a timer and it’s just fine.

This light was nearly impossible to keep in place until I added a block of wood between the "support" and the tank glass inside the tank. If you didn't tighten the screw enough, it would fall backwards off the tank (luckily there was a wall behind to stop it from crashing to the floor) but if you tightened it anymore, it would then flop forward onto the lid of the tank. When we were finally able to get it to balance, it would then fall again with the slightest touch of the on/off button. On top of all that, we had it less than 6 months before it burned out. For the price paid, one would hope it would have lasted (much) longer than that.

Bought this today at 1:00pm and by 6:00pm it had stopped working. Absolute junk do yourself a favor and buy fluval.

I have two of these lights on two different tanks. I got them because they were available at Petco locally and they were inexpensive. I looked, but I haven't seen any PAR measurements for these lights, so I thought since I was lucky enough to have a PAR meter (Apogee MQ-510), I would post some numbers. PAR readings in my 3 gallon nano tank: - Light's LED's are 3.5 inches above the water line - 480 PAR when sensor is just below the water line (around .25 inches underwater) - 220 PAR at substrate (around 6.5 inches underwater) PAR readings in my 15 gallon Fluval tank: - Light's LED's are 3.5 inches above the water line - 480 PAR when sensor is just below the water line (around .25 inches underwater) - 85 PAR at substrate (around 10 inches underwater) Note: All of these readings are directly below the light and not off to the corners of the tanks. I'll let you decide if these are good numbers or not, but my thought is that on my nano, it is "high light". I have CO2 running, so hasn't been a problem and my plants are growing like crazy. On the 15 gallon, depending on where the plants are in the tank, it can range from high to low light. Personally, I think I'm going to add a second light to the 15 gallon tank. I'm still only set back around $70 for this setup and to get that sort of PAR, I usually have to pay much more than that.
